Hi!
I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas Season with family and friends! I know that I am!
I spent this last week doing multiple interviews to promote the Miss America Reality Show, “Countdown to the Crown” as well as the actual Miss America Pageant. It’s been really exciting to see such interest being generated by the rebuilding of our amazing program. And as the date of the reality show premiere approaches, I’m getting more and more excited to see the finished product of our three weeks in L.A.!
I also attended a press conference to promote the new Miss Louisiana preliminary, the Miss Monroe Pageant last week. It was so nice to see the support extended by the entire city of Monroe and the anticipation on the faces of its citizens in attendance. Unfortunately, I won’t be here for the Miss Pageant, because I will already be in Las Vegas. But I’m really looking forward to attending and emceeing the Outstanding Teen Pageant the weekend before I leave!
Later that night, I attended the Miss La. Tech University Pageant, where I had the opportunity to emcee the show and sing one of my favorite Christmas songs, “The Christmas Song.” It was a lot of fun (I always enjoy that part of my job as Miss Louisiana)! And all of the young women who participated did a fantastic job.
So far, this week has been filled with more preparation for Miss America! I can’t believe it’s right around the corner! I’ll keep you posted on my adventures through the New Year!
